The Diary Monday, 4th June 2007 | Bryce National Park, UT | GMT-7 We woke up at 4:30 AM ?!?!? to go watch the Sunrise at 6:15 AM. It was such a nice Sunrise and it was SOOO freaking cold. Then the sun came out and it was soo freaking HOT. We decided to hike down into Bryce Canyon. After 1km going down, we found a huge pile of rocks in our way - and a sign "If you try and cross this you will be fined $75. Please turn around." There was a couple sitting there debating if they should cross. I figured it wasn't that hard to get over the rocks. Chris cried "I am not going over there - the police might catch us.!" I quietly climbed up to the top, and saw that it was not far to the bottom and went - and everyone followed! :D We then hiked further and found some very TAME squirrels. They came and drank water from my bottle. We continued on and on and on and finally made it back up. Boy was that hard. We then drove on to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
